Bracing her hands on Gabe’s chest, she lifted up and lowered herself, setting up a rhythm that gave her the greatest friction on her aching clit. Gabe worked his hips in counterpoint to her gyrations, meeting her every movement.

A deluge of emotion swept over her. Gabe’s scent seeped deep inside her, and she knew it would be a long time before she forgot this weekend, if ever. It felt so right, being with Gabe, as if it was meant to be. As if the universe had handed them a cosmic prize of unprecedented proportions.

The breath snagged in her throat. Sweat beaded her body. She knew she wasn’t far from coming, but there was something she wanted first. She ceased her movements for a moment, leaned over and ripped the Velcro bondage cuffs off of Gabe’s wrists.

“Oh, God, don’t…stop.” He arched his hips, thrusting his cock hard into her pussy.

Kat gasped. A series of little tremors spread out from where they were joined. She gritted her teeth and hung on. Not yet, not yet.

She reached for Gabe’s hands and brought them to her face, kissing his fingertips. “Gabe?” she whispered.

  “Yes, love?”

Warmed at his choice of endearment, she dropped a quick kiss on his mouth. “Come for me?”

He chuckled, the sound hoarse with tension and need. “Not a problem, but don’t you mean make you come, Mistress?”

She shook her head. “No, I mean what I said. This is for you, not just me. I’ve had my fantasy.” She moved on him, raising and lowering herself, increasing the tension with each stroke. She tightened her internal muscles with each thrust of his cock, stroking the sides of his shaft until his movements sped up.

Gabe’s body raged against hers for a few seconds longer, and he cried out her name as he came. Kat silently cursed the condom. She wanted to feel his juices sluicing through her, making her hot, wet, his.

His climax triggered her own. Her body convulsed. She cried out his name as fire flashed through her. Muscles tightened then released as spasms tumbled, one after the other, until she was nothing but a raging bundle of sensual nerves.

He caught his breath, shuddering once more, and pulled her down into his arms. “Hey, when do we get to the really kinky stuff?”

Kat flopped onto his chest like a rag doll that had lost its stuffing and chuckled. “My, you are a glutton for punishment, aren’t you?” She trailed the tip of her tongue across his chest. “Next time, I promise. I still want to try out those jelly butt plugs on you.”

“There’s going to be a next time?”

She nipped him over his heart then laved the love bite with the tip of her tongue. “You bet. You think I’m about to let you go now? Finding you is like having all my dreams come true.” She subsided on his chest, content for the moment to bask in the afterglow of sexual satisfaction.

“Good thing we live in the same city then, isn’t it?”

For a moment, silence reigned, filled with contentment that went bone-deep.

  “Know what?” Gabe whispered.

  She lifted her head. “What?”

“You had your fantasy—and so did I. You’re a dream come true.” He kissed her tenderly. “Now…want to see if we still enjoy one another while we’re awake?” He grinned and rubbed noses with her.

She held his face in her hands as they kissed again. Suddenly she remembered Dr. Eros’s last words to her and told Gabe to turn his head so she could see behind his right ear.

He seemed self-conscious once she touched the mole area. “Don’t—it’s gross, isn’t it?”

“Not at all.” She pulled the sparkly speck from the area. “Well!”

  “What?” He sounded alarmed.

“Gabe! Look!” She held out the tiny golden arrow.

Eyes squinted, he peered at her hand. “Ah hell, hang on a minute.” Gabe pulled the Velcro cuffs from his ankles. Butt naked, he bolted out of bed and into the bathroom. Minutes later, Kat heard the toilet flush then he rushed out into the living room, returning with his glasses perched on the end of his nose.

Jumping back into bed, he studied what Kat held. “Fuck me. No—that can’t be.”

“What are these things, anyway?” She sat up in bed. “I sat on one at the restaurant. Well, that’s not accurate—I think somebody shot me!”

When his eyes widened and his cheeks pinked, Kat narrowed her gaze and shook her head. “Tell me that wasn’t you.” She pitched a pillow at him. “Gabe?”

He gave her a sheepish look. “I guess I didn’t tell you what I do for a living, did I? I’m an Information Technologist for a company called CupidYcom. I, ah…I work for Cupid, managing his database for this resort. I help secure clients he needs to match up. That’s how I managed to set up this fantasy weekend.”

Kat burst out laughing. “You’re kidding, right? Hey, I’m all into fantasies but Cupid? And if Cupid really exists, why the hell were you the one shooting me in the ass?”

“Okay, so it’s probably all a marketing ploy he’s using, but the client really believes he’s Cupid so I go along with it. He asked me to fill in for him, and I shot the wrong person.” He reached for her and tumbled her into his arms. “Actually, I shot the right person, as far as I’m concerned. And you intrigued me so much I wanted to know you, so I relied on my computing skills.” Gabe rolled them over and settled his weight over her. “Best thing I ever did.”

Suddenly, a blinding flash of white light, spiked with gold flashes, filled the bedroom. Kat looked around Gabe’s shoulder to see Doctor Eric Eros standing in the middle of the bedroom. Only this time, he was dressed in nothing but a diaper and carried a gold bow and quiver of arrows. How the hell had he gotten into the room? “Doctor Eros, what are you doing here?”

“Eros is my Greek name, but most refer to me as Cupid.” He grinned. “Or Cupid Baby as Gabe calls me.”

Gabe rolled onto his back and grabbed the bedcover, flicking it over Kat’s nakedness. “CB? What the fuck? You’ve got…wings sticking out of your back.” Gabe shook his head as if he couldn’t believe what he was seeing. “You…you really are Cupid? It’s not just a marketing ploy?”

“Afraid not, old boy, and I hate to disillusion you, mate, but I was the only one doing the matching.” He pointed to the little arrow Kat still held in her hand. “Pretty smart of me, eh? You didn’t even know you’d been shot.” He dusted off his hands. “My job is done. Have a long and happy life, you two.”

Then he disappeared in another burst of brilliance.

Kat look at Gabe and the two of them howled with laughter. When she’d finally caught her breath, she shook her head in disbelief. “Cupid! Who would have figured it? Now I know what that sense of someone watching me was all about. He was making certain I actually came.”

She grabbed the packet of jelly butt plugs off of the bedside table and waved them in his face. “Now about that kinky stuff…”

  Epilogue

Cupid stood outside the bure and listened to the laughter of his latest two victims. He’d never seen a couple so in tune with each other, even if they hadn’t realised it yet. He was glad he’d managed to bring a little happiness into their lives. Something told him Gabe and Kat had a long and fruitful union in front of them.

Without alerting them to his presence he popped in to take one last look, to find them curled in each other’s arms, laughing and talking. Wrapping his invisibility about himself, he flashed outside again. For a moment, he felt a shaft of loneliness arrow through his heart. If only he could convince his own love, Psyche, to join him here.

Living on earth did have its benefits, but there was a lot he missed from Olympus. His friends, for one. Although a lot of them had chosen to live among the humans, he had little contact with them. They, like he, had to keep their identity a secret. Did they hanker for a place to belong? Someone to belong to?

“Are you feeling sorry for yourself, Cupid, old boy? Remember, you chose this life, my friend.”

Suddenly an idea crept into his brain and he grinned. He’d had so much fun setting
up Gabe and Kat, why not do it again? Him! Not the computer. Only this time, he’d concentrate on his friends, the gods and goddesses who’d chosen to live on earth.

The sense of mischievousness he’d been born with welled up. He burst into laughter at the thought of someone like lecherous Pan matched with a human woman who wouldn’t put up with his flirtatious ways.

He turned his back on Gabe and Kat and sauntered towards his office, humming a Christmas tune, making up the lyrics as he walked. “Cupid, baby, slip a little arrow like this in me…”
